Pantera
Pantera came together in the 80's created by brothers drummer Vinnie Paul and Guitarist Dimebag Darrell the band went threw some line up changes they lost their lead singer and replaced him with the other guitarist and they released an album in 1983, it was not that great it the follow up album was better but still not that great. Then in 1987 is were they once again replaced the lead singer, the first cd that was let out with this singer was insanely better then the two previews ones and much heavier. To me this is were the band finally found their best sound and starting making great music because the following album titled 'Cowboys From Hell' is my personal favourite because it has great heavy songs and some good solo's. A couple of the best tracks on this Cd were 'Cowboys From Hell' and 'Art Of Shredding'. Over the next ten years this band kept making some of the greatest music ever. It was different then most metal music it wasn't heavy but wasn't to soft it was a mix of some country and metal music and it sounded amazing. Then the band parted ways, due to members not being able to work together and in 2003 former lead guitarist Dimebag Derrell was shot at a live concert because of things lead singer said to the press. It sucked that Dimebag died because he was my favourite guitarist ever. He made amazing solo's and did some decent back up vocals. I really wished this band never broke up but the best bands never last unfortunately.

Mudvayne
Mudvayne is a band from Illinois they were formed in the late 1990's its they released an EP in 1998. It has some okay songs and a couple pretty good songs named 'I.D.I.O.T' and 'Poop Loser'. The Ep helped get signed and after being signed they let out their best album ever also the heaviest one. It was titled 'L.D.50', this CD gave the band some popularity won a few awards with it. The best songs on the album was 'Pharmaecopia', 'Death Blooms', 'Cradle' and the most popular song and the song that gave them some popularity was 'Dig'. In the early years the band used to paint their faces and dress up for their music video's and it looked pretty cool but as the years went by they started doing it less which sucked. The next album was just a re-recording of the Ep and a couple added songs, all together it was pretty cool. The next two albums dropped were 'The End Of All Things To Come' then 'Lost And Found' and they were great albums but just not as good as 'L.D. 50', then after 'Lost And Found' they out a terrible album named 'The New Game' it didn't sound heavy and they tried changing their style to much and it just didn't work out. And then the following year they let out a self titled album it wasn't as good as their older and better tracks but it was a lot better then anything that was on 'The New Game'. If they make anymore new stuff I really think they should try and go back to their stuff from 'L.D. 50'.

Slipknot
Slipknot is my all time favorite band. They are a bit different then most bands with having a total of nine members. They have four released albums each with the same nine members. The first album was a great album full of some really fast drums and great screams. Next came my favorite Slipknot album titled Iowa which is the home state of all nine members. This album is completely amazing such great heavy music and emotion put into the lyrics. Each song was just incredible. After taking a break to work on side projects the band got back together and released another album called "Volume 3 (The Subliminal Verses)". This album was totally different then the first two it was much more melodic and the vocals were a lot more clean. There was even a couple slow songs like " Vermillion part 2" and "Circle". This album was still great and also has the very first Slipknot song I ever heard on it. The song is titled " Duality". That song is the reason why I listen to Metal music. Their next and most recent album was a bit of a mix of the past three CD's. It was a very good album but its probably my least favorite one of the four CD's. Their not really a reason for it i just prefer the other three over this one. Two years after the release of this album the bassist died. I'm not sure if I want the band to find a replacement because their all the original members and I don't know if it would be the same as the first four albums. But if they do replace the bassist I will listen to a couple songs to see if it's any good.
Rob Zombie
Rob Zombie is a solo artist who started of with his original band White Zombie. The band was formed in 1985 this band was different then most since they didn't write about personal experience but instead wrote about horror movies. The name White Zombie came from the 1932 horror film White Zombie. After recording four albums and two EP's the band went in separate ways since the members could no longer work together as a band. After the break up Rob formed his solo band, and Rob Zombie kept the good music coming with his horror film influenced lyrics and awesome songs. With his first solo album coming out in 1998 named Hellbilly Deluxe i believe this to be his best music released ever with songs like "Meet The Creeper", "Living Dead Girl" and his most commonly known song "Dragula". The next album Zombie would release is in 2001 in my opinion Rob was still producing some great tunes to listen to. Then in 2006 after recruiting former Marlyn Manson guitarist John 5 they dropped a fairly decent album called Educated Hoarses but not as heavy as previews albums. With Rob also being a movie director he put his music career on hold for a bit then after four years he let out another album named Hellbilly Deluxe 2. This album was once again done with John 5 I found it to be a pretty good album with a little bit of a mix of his old and new stuff. At the age of 45 I'm not sure how much longer he can stay in the music world but as long as he keep putting out some good music I'll still listen to him.

Asking Alexandria
Asking Alexandria is a Post- Hardcore band from England. This band is an amazing groupe, they have a clean vocal singer and also have a lead vocaliste that does the screams. The band was just formed in 2008. They only have one released album. The album was titled ' Stand Up And Scream'. Pretty much every trakc on the CD is really amazing. The mix between clean vocals and the sceraming is really sick to listen to.My top 3 tracks on the album are 'Alerion', 'Not The American Average' and my personal favorite song by this band is 'Prophecy', The song has an even amount of clean covals and screaming vocals. And it's just a great havey song and their is programming in the song that sounds really great. The programming is done by lead sing Danny Worsnop. The bands next album is set to be released next year in Feburary. Hopefully they don't try and change their sound to much and come out with some great heavy music. And if the lead singer doesn't llose his voice like Bring Me The Horizon this band will be set for a great couple albums. Lyrically this band is pretty good there going to be a sick band if their sound stays the same. Viewer discrestion is advised Swear Words?
Black Label Society
The band was formed in 1998 by Zakk Wylde who is well known for being the guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne since the age of 18. Zakk is the lead singer of the band. The band is a heavy metal band with a mix of rock into it which makes for a great sound. Over the years the band has released eight amazing albums. Releasing some great songs such as 'Stillborn', '13 Years Of Grief'and their all time best song ever is 'This River'. This song is about former lead guitarist of Pantera. The two were really good friends. In this song Zakk plays every instrument including the piano. It's a very welll written song all around. It is a very slow song but still really good. Over the years the band has been threw many line up changes. But this band still has manage to produce some great music over the past 10 years. This band really impressed me for that reason because most bands either start to suck over the years or whne they lose a band member that band tends to lose their sound or what made the band origionally sound good. Even in their most recent CD Zakk still manages to produce some new great music. If he ends up releasing one more great album I will be pretty impressed. This band is sick and I hope they last as long as possible.

Korn
Korn is a band that was formed in the early 1990's. Their first studio album which was self titled was released in 1994. My personal favorite album was their second album "Life Is Peachy". This record includes the single 'A.D.I.D.A.S.' and my all time favorite Korn song "Good God". Life is peachy is probably their most heavy and crazy album which is partly why I like it so much. The first four albums is probably Korn's best music because that's when the band was made up of all the original members. After the fourth album Brian 'Head' Welch left the band due to a drug addiction, after leaving the band Brian became religious and has since then continued as a solo christian artist. After the departure of the lead guitarist who was ranked 26th heavy metal guitarist at the time, the band started to suck. The next two albums were still pretty good. The following two albums were nothing amazing but still capable of listening to. Then in 2007 they let out another named "Untitled" which was not good at all accept one song. And their recent album that was released in 2010 which was slightly better then Untitled but it just didn't compare to old school Korn. In the early days lead singer JD had just an insane capability of putting so much emotion into his voice along with some great lyrics and awesome musical talent they were just an incredible band but the loss of their original lead guitarist and then the next year their drummer left, to me the band just seem to have lost their sound. But I am still a Korn fan and always will be.
Devildriver
Devildriver is a pretty awesome they're an insanely heavy band. The band is classified under the sub genre of groove metal. The band was formed in 2002 after the lead singer left his previews band Coal Chamber. Coal Chamber happened to be a very good band as well but lead singer Dez quit because he did not like were the band was going. Devildriver have released a total of four albums. Each album have some sick songs, I don't really have a favorite album by this band because I enjoy listening to all of them but I would have to say that "Pray For Villains" was their worse. My all time favorite song by them is "Cry For Me Sky". It's a pretty fast song with a great set of lyrics and beat. Devildriver has been consistently producing awesome music I think because they still have all the same members that started the band, still playing in the band. I would love to see this band live since they hold the Guinness World Record for the biggest circle pit. They are coming out with a new album next year, I'm fairly excited and really hoping that's its more like their older stuff such as "I Could Care Less" or "Clouds Over California". Hopefully the band doesn't lose their original sounds and keep coming out with new great music.
Avenged Sevenfold
Avenged Sevenfold is a great band that was formed in the late ninety's and in 2001 released their first album. Which was a decent album but it didn't sound that great the vocals didn't really mix with the instrumental. The second album was much like the first wasn't really that great but on their third, they totally changed the style of music that they played. The screaming disapered a little bit and they started singing in a more melodic voice and it sounded pretty good a lot better then the screaming. A couple of the best tracks on this album, personally were "Bat Country and "Beast And The Harlot". After this album the band got a lot of popularity and became a bit more mainstream metal but they were still a great band to listen to. In 2007 Avenged Sevenfold let out a self titled album and it was well written with some slow songs but it was still pretty great music to listen to. There most sogt sounding song was an incredible single, the name of the song is "Dear God". The next year they dropped another pretty impressive album and a year later came the death of the bands drummer James 'The Rev' Sullivan. In 2010 Avenged had released their most recent CD with new drummer Mike Portony former drummer of Dream Theater. The single "Nightmare" is a fairly decent song but I much prefer the bands music before the new drummer. Hopefully the band can come out with some more music like their older stuff.
Bring Me The Horizon
The bands name is from the movie Pirates Of The Carribean. Captain Jack Sparrow says ' Bring me that horizon'. The band replaced 'that' with 'the'. Like most metal bands this one started off amazingly well and just got worse. In 2005 the band released and EP with four songs on it which were all very good. The following year Bring Me The Horizon dropped an amazing follow up album called "Count Your Blessings". The album was pretty heavy with some sweet vocals. It also contains my all time favorite song by them , being "Pray For Plagues". After that the band totally went down. Their next album release was in 2008, the album titled "Suicide Season" just couldn't compare to "Count Your Blessings". Lead singer Oliver Sykes had basically lost his screaming voice because of improper screaming technique and because of drugs and alcohol. So his singing became more just him just yelling and every once in a while he uses his screaming voice. The album wasn't totally terrible their were a couple decent songs such as "Diamonds Arn't Forever", "Football Season Is Over" and "Chelsea Smile". Next came Suicide Season Cut Up which is basically every song off of Suicide Season made into a sort of techno song. I didn't like anything on that album. With the newest album just coming out less then a month ago I tried listening to a couple different songs, nothing really amazing just about two or three alright songs. Overall this band had some talent but they just lost it after their first CD. They went to mainstream and lost what made them a great band and instead became the poster boy band for deathcore genre. They pretty much sold out for the money.
Dope
Dope is a really awesome band because they are very talented and have a lot of heavy songs such as "Burn" or "Paranoia" but they can also sing some some soft tunes like "Another Day" and "Sing". Dope can still manage to pull off softer songs. This band has 5 released albums Group Therapy being my favorite. I enjoy this album the most because this album probably has the most diversity between heavy songs and softer songs. The band has gone threw many line up changes over the year with the exception of the lead singer Edsel who created the band in they year 1997. Over the years this band has managed to stay pretty as most metal bands start to suck as time goes by. Their latest album that came out in 2009 titled "No Regrets" was in fact one of my personal favorite new metal albums. No Regrets had three singles "6-6 Sick", " Nothing For Me Here" and in my opinion their best single "Addiction". Featuring in this song is one of the best guitarist of all time and lead singer of the band Black Label Society but better known for his work with Ozzy, Zakk Wylde, he does a pretty sweet solo in the song.In the early years of this band their popularity grew because of on the first album they released the song "Debonair" was played in the movie Fast And The Furious and it also appeared in Scream 3. I hope that the band will continue coming out with some great music and I am looking forward to hearing some new stuff in the next couple years.
Arch Enemy
Arch Enemy was made in the 1990's the band first album came out in 1996 they dropped four albums before finally changing lead singers. This band is a lot different then most metal bands because after the fourth album the lead singer was replaced by a girl vocalist. She happens to be a really good vocalist and I like her a lot more then the original singer. I never liked the guy singer much, since the arrival of the replacement singer I think that's when the band actually became great. They have probably one of the most talented guitarists. They are really fast passe and write some really amazing guitar solo's. My favorite song by Arch Enemy is probably "Dead Eyes See No Future". The song is really heavy and has a nice solo. Since the departure of former lead singer Johan Liiva the band has produced 7 a solid number of great songs over a solid 7 studio albums. Each album has a bit of a different sound to it which is a good because i like when bands experiment with their sound some times they change their sound to much though hopefully on they don't change their sound to much for the newest album which is set to be let out in 2012. Up to date each album has been fairly good with the exception of the first four. With lead guitarist Micheal Amott being the only member present threw out all the albums I don't think the guitaring will be something to worry about and I think the other members will bring some awesome drums and vocals to make another solid CD
